At Christopher Newport University (2005-)   Spring 2006 Alumni Magazine First time Alumni Magazine has been online other than as a PDF file. Created web page layout and navigation based on content of magazine and general knowledge of web site usability best practices. Optimized image files for use on the web. Created all story and print-format pages. Tested site layout and functions in Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox browsers.   Ferguson Center for the Arts (FCA), 2005-06 season * Designed site based on brochure by FCA marketing/ graphic design employee. (All images and logos provided by FCA.) Input all brochure content into web pages and optimized images for web. Implemented new driving directions page with drop-down sections (JavaScript). Tweaked final site based on extensive feedback from FCA marketing director. Time from project start to site launch: five weeks. * Archived at www.archive.org     Faculty Experts Guide Completed online Faculty Experts Guide, which had been a low-priority task of University Relations. Researched online expert guides at other universities for design ideas and best practices. Designed layout of topics index and faculty listings by name. Imported content from Word documents and some hand-written submissions. Collected individual faculty bio PDF files into one master file for media to download. Responsible for corresponding with faculty who submit new/updated information and for updating and adding new content.     At ArcaMax, Inc. (2000-2005) Complete site designs include layout, navigation, checkout process, and FAQ pages. ArcaMax.com Complete site design and creation except for logo and 3rd level headers. Purpose: attract subscribers. Team: myself and one programmer Time to complete: 6 weeks. Has since been redesigned. DollarBins.com Complete site design, including logo and theme.
